When I first arrived in 2005, I tried to tip the guy who brought me from the airport to my study abroad program, and he actually gave it back to me! I think he felt bad taking my money because we'd been chatting about how his daughter had studied abroad, so he probably imagined her in my situation - but I wouldn't imagine that many drivers would do the same.
